About
For four decades I've advised nonprofits and foundations through four areas: networks, measurement, wellbeing, AI. Same concern each time. How to take on the new approach without losing the people inside the organization. My work now is more thought doer versus thought leader. I still take the occasional keynote because I enjoy the stage, but the bulk of my practice is going deep with one organization or foundation rather than speaking to hundreds of people for an hour. I coach nonprofit and foundation leaders on human-centered AI adoption strategy which is about slowing down and having the difficult conversations and doing the work to understand when human judgement needs to be in the loop. I custom design and facilitate the training that goes with it, including using AI to think better and maintaining cognitive sovereignty. The goal: AI use that expands human capacity instead of replacing human judgment. My workplace wellbeing and leadership development background is why I saw the cognitive risks of AI early. If you work for a nonprofit or foundation and want to adopt AI in ways that hold your values and build your team's skill and judgment, without burnout, reach out.
