FAQ

Questions people ask

Is it free?

Yes, with no signup. A full post link is read in your browser and never leaves your device. A short lnkd.in link is checked once to see which post it opens.

How does it know when a post went up?

Every LinkedIn post has a long ID number in its link, and part of that number is the moment it was posted. The tool reads it straight from the link, so it never has to open the post.

Why does LinkedIn only say 2w or 3mo?

LinkedIn rounds the age of a post, and the older it gets the rougher the rounding. The exact time is still in the link.

Does it work for comments?

Yes. Open the menu on a comment, choose Copy link to comment and paste it here. You get the time of the post and of the comment, and of the reply if it is a link to one.

Which time zone is it in?

Your device's time zone, with the UTC time underneath so you can compare with someone elsewhere.

Does it work with short lnkd.in links?

Yes. Paste the short link from Share and it finds the post it opens. Article links are the one exception, since they don't carry a post number. Use the link to the post that shared the article instead.
