FAQ
Questions people ask
Is it free?
Yes. No signup, and it runs in your browser, so your text is never sent anywhere.
Is line length based on counting letters or the space a line takes up?
The space it takes up. Some letters are thin, like i and l, and some are wide, like W and M, so a line with fewer letters can still look longer. Sorting by how long each line looks on screen gives you a staircase that looks right when you post it.
What is a text staircase?
Lines sorted by length, so each one is a little longer or shorter than the last. The shape gives the post a clear direction and the eye moves down it easily. It suits lists, takeaways and short punchy posts.
Does it change my words?
No. It only changes the order of your lines.
