Privacy Policy
Earlybird · Hustlr Pty Limited · Last updated 14 October 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Hustlr Pty Limited ("Hustlr", "we", "us") collects, uses, and stores information when you use the Earlybird Chrome extension ("the Extension"). We are committed to handling your information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Earlybird is not affiliated, associated, authorised, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with LinkedIn Corporation. "LinkedIn" is a registered trademark of LinkedIn Corporation, used here only to describe the website the Extension works with.
1. Who this policy applies to
The Extension is intended for users who are 16 years of age or older, consistent with the minimum age requirement of the professional network it works with. By using the Extension you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. How the Extension works
Earlybird is a personal analytics and content-discovery tool. It reads what linkedin.com has already delivered to your browser while you browse normally. It also keeps your own figures up to date while you have LinkedIn open to keep your own data complete. Everything it reads is information your own account can already see.
Some accounts have optional AI features: drafting comments, drafting posts, and an AI clone that learns how you write. When you ask for a comment or a post, Earlybird writes a suggestion and can place it in LinkedIn's own box, for you to edit, post, or discard.
What the Extension does not do:
- It is not an automation tool. It never posts, comments, reacts, follows, connects, or messages in your name — including when an AI feature has written a comment or post for you. Nothing appears under your name on LinkedIn unless you sent it yourself.
- It never reads or stores your linkedin.com password, your session cookies, or your private messages.
- It does not browse on your behalf. Apart from keeping your own figures up to date as described above, it reads only pages you visit yourself.
- It runs only on linkedin.com. It does not observe your activity on any other website.
3. What information we collect
Information you provide
- Account credentials — your email address and a password, or your Google account email and display name if you sign in with Google, used to create and access your Earlybird account.
- Setup answers, such as how many days a week you aim to show up and how you found Earlybird, used to set up the Extension for you and to learn which channels bring people to Earlybird.
- Billing information — if you purchase a subscription, payment is handled by our payment processor (see Section 7). We never receive or store your card number.
Your own activity data
When you use linkedin.com with the Extension active, it reads and stores the following data about your account and activity, so it can show you trends over time:
- Your profile information (name, profile photo, follower count, public profile username)
- Your posts — text content, impression counts, reactions, comments, and reposts
- Your comments — text snippet, impression count, and reactions received
- Your analytics data (e.g. profile views, follower growth) as displayed on your own analytics pages
Public post information
The Extension's content-discovery feature identifies public posts that are gaining traction. As you browse your feed, the Extension may store limited information about public posts your browser displays: the post's link, the author's public name, photo, and profile link, a short excerpt of the post text, the post's image, engagement counts, and the time the post was published.
- This public-post information is used to power Earlybird's content-discovery feature.
- Public-post records are not linked to your identity — other users cannot see who first viewed or saved a post, and these records store no information about you.
- Public-post records contain only information that is publicly visible on linkedin.com; they never include private content, messages, or anything from restricted-visibility posts beyond what your browser was served.
- An aggregate, anonymous counter of how many posts were analysed each day is also maintained.
AI features (optional)
These features are off unless they have been enabled on your account. When you use them, the following is sent to our AI provider (see Section 6) so it can produce a result:
- The post you are replying to, and whatever you type into the drafting box
- Your drafting instructions and the details you have given your AI clone, if any
- A description of how you write and what you write about, which Earlybird builds from your LinkedIn profile and from posts and comments you have already published
We keep a copy of what is sent to the AI provider and what it returns for up to 90 days, so we can review and improve the quality of the drafts. Only the Earlybird team can see it, and it is deleted automatically after 90 days. Your conversations are also held in your browser so you can return to them. We record how much each account has used these features and what they cost.
Information stored on your device
A working copy of recently captured data (such as posts seen in your feed and your recent comments) is stored locally in your browser's extension storage and never leaves your device unless described above.
When you visit our website
When you visit earlybirdapp.xyz we measure how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed, which links are clicked, the website that referred you, and the country, browser and device type of the visit. We use Umami and Cloudflare Web Analytics for this. Neither sets cookies or stores anything on your device, and neither identifies you personally. This measurement covers our website only. The Extension does not use it, and it is not linked to your Earlybird account.
What we do not collect
- Your password for linkedin.com, session cookies, or private messages
- Your browsing activity on any site other than linkedin.com
- Your contacts or connection lists
4. How we use your information
We use the information collected solely to provide and improve the functionality of the Extension, including:
- Displaying your post and comment performance history
- Tracking follower growth and analytics trends over time
- Surfacing trending public posts worth engaging with
- Drafting suggested comments and posts when you ask for them, if these features are enabled on your account
- Reviewing AI drafts to improve their quality, as described in Section 3
- Operating your subscription and trial entitlements
- Sending you product emails about Earlybird, such as tips, new features, and offers on your own subscription
We do not use your information for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell your information to any third party.
Email from us. When you create an account we add your email address to our mailing list and send you occasional emails about Earlybird: tips on using it, new features, and offers on your own subscription. This is stated on the sign-up screen before you create an account. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link and you can opt out at any time, in one click, without affecting your account. We never email you about anyone else's products, and we never sell or rent your email address. Service emails such as password resets, trial reminders, and billing notices are part of running your account and are sent whether or not you are subscribed to product emails.
5. How your information is stored
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore database and Firebase Authentication), provided by Google LLC. Firebase servers are located in the United States. By using the Extension you consent to your information being transferred to and stored in the United States in accordance with Google's data processing terms.
Post images and author photos are stored with Cloudflare, provided by Cloudflare, Inc.
Access to your personal data in Firebase is protected by authentication and server-side security rules — only your authenticated account can read or write your personal data. The public-post information described in Section 3 contains no personal data about you.
6. Sharing of information
We do not share your personal information with third parties except:
- Google / Firebase — as the infrastructure provider for authentication and data storage (see Section 5).
- Stripe — as our payment processor, if you purchase a subscription (see Section 7).
- Anthropic — as the AI provider for the optional AI features, if they are enabled on your account. Only the material described in Section 3 is sent, and only when you use one of those features.
- Other Earlybird users — only the public-post information described in Section 3. Your identity, account details, and personal analytics are never shared with other users.
- Brevo: as our email provider, so we can send you the account and product emails described in Section 4. Only your email address and your subscription status are shared. Brevo is operated by Sendinblue SAS in France, and its handling of your data is governed by the Brevo Privacy Policy.
- Umami and Cloudflare, to measure visits to our website as described in Section 3. They receive no information about you beyond that visit and nothing about your Earlybird account.
- Legal requirements — if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.
7. Payments
Paid subscriptions and free trials are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you subscribe, Stripe collects your payment details directly — we never receive or store your full card number. We receive and store only your subscription status (e.g. trialing, active, cancelled) and the email associated with the purchase, so we can activate your account. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
8. Data retention and deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. You may delete your account and all associated personal data at any time from within the Extension (Settings → Delete my account). Upon deletion, your personal data — your profile information, posts, comments, analytics, and saved items — is removed from our servers immediately.
Public-post records are not linked to your account and therefore are not affected by account deletion; posts naturally age out of the discovery feature over time.
You may also request deletion by emailing us at [email protected].
9. Information about other people
Earlybird may store limited, publicly visible information about posts written by people who may not be Earlybird users (author name, photo, public profile link, post excerpt, post image, and engagement counts). We process this information on the basis that it is already public, and only to surface relevant public content. If you are the author of a post and would like your information removed, contact us at [email protected] and we will remove it promptly.
10. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of product emails at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any email
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and no later than 30 days. If you are located in the EU/UK or California, we will honour access, correction, deletion, and portability requests consistent with the GDPR and CCPA respectively.
11. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. All data transmitted to Firebase is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access to your stored data requires a valid authenticated session, enforced by server-side security rules.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
12. Children's privacy
The Extension is not directed at anyone under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
