About

For brand partnerships and speaking, email accomplished women don't have an expertise problem. You have a visibility problem. You've spent years becoming exceptionally good at what you do, building careers, accumulating knowledge, leading teams, and starting businesses, but very few of us are ever taught how to turn that expertise into a reputation that creates opportunities. That's the work I'm obsessed with. I'm Chika Uwazie, media entrepreneur, co-host of the Afropolitan Podcast, and author of Timeline Grief. I help accomplished women turn what they know into visibility, authority, and income, with LinkedIn as one of the most powerful tools to do so. The women who are becoming known in their industries aren't necessarily the people who know the most. They're the people who have learned how to communicate what they know. Here I write about: β†’ Building visibility without turning yourself into an influencer β†’ Becoming known for your expertise β†’ Turning LinkedIn into a platform for opportunity and income β†’ Building intellectual property that compounds β€” content, communities, products, books and media β†’ Using AI to increase your leverage and remain valuable as work changes β†’ Reinventing yourself when your ambition outgrows the life or career you originally planned I'm not teaching this from the sidelines. I've spent years building businesses, audiences, and media platforms. The Afropolitan Podcast now reaches 1.1M monthly views, and my work as a creator reaches more than 500K. I've been featured by Forbes, WIRED, TechCrunch and Politico and spoken at the World Economic Forum, SXSW, the UN General Assembly, Harvard and Cannes Lions. I've also lived the reinvention I'm writing about. My forthcoming book, Timeline Grief, explores what happens when the life you are living no longer matches the one you thought you would have β€” and how you build again from there. And through Afropolitan, I'm helping to build a media company that tells the stories of African founders, creators, and operators shaping the global economy. My work there has included building a community of more than 20,000 people across Africa and the diaspora. Different projects. Same thesis: You don't have to keep following the playbook you were handed. You can become known for what you know, build something that belongs to you, and create a life that reflects who you've become. Follow me for the playbook.
