Dr Niranjan Hiranandani is widely recognised as one of the pioneers who reshaped India’s urban development landscape. As the Founder and Chairman of the Hiranandani Group, he is credited with redefining integrated township living in India through landmark developments such as Hiranandani Gardens, Powai—a project that transformed the way urban communities are designed and experienced. A first-generation entrepreneur, Dr Hiranandani began his career as a Chartered Accountant after graduating from Campion School, Mumbai University, and qualifying as a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. His professional journey began in finance and the textile industry before he took a bold leap into real estate – guided by the belief that cities must be built around people, communities, and long-term vision. Over the decades, he has been instrumental in creating integrated townships that combine residential, commercial, educational, healthcare, and lifestyle infrastructure, setting new benchmarks for sustainable and holistic urban planning.
