I am a doctor specializing in Agronomic sciences and climate change with the thematic concern "effect of Olive mill waste water on soil properties and Crop phenology and yield in sandy soil" at the Institute of Arid Areas Tunisia. Throughout my studies I was profoundly trained in soil fertility, crop management, soil biology. In addition, among all disciplines, I liked best those whitch explained the effect of organic residues on soil properties (chemical, physical and biological) and it's effect on crop yield both in the smallest and the biggest scales (Valorization in agriculture as fertilizer), soil assessment and remediation after organic residue spreading under arid conditions. In fact, my Masters work was focused on these topics and my thesis work constitutes a logical continuation of my research activities concerning organic agriculture, soil fertility and soil remediation under organic amendment. My long-standing aim is to be actively involved with research in an area that I find fascinating, such as soil fertility enhancement under organic residue spreading after composting process, soil plant microbes such as bacteria interactions, ecology chemistry. I was done a postdoc training for 4 months at the Indian Institute of Soil Sciences where I was studied the efficient utilization of selected microbes for accelerating the decomposition process to recycle crop residue on soil health sustenance under the supervision of Prof. Madhab Manna. So I have a large background on soil ecology and plant microbe’s interaction and synergy. I am a soil scientist with over 10 years of experience working in the field of soil sciences and agronomy. I have a strong background in soil science and have worked on projects related to soil fertility: improving crop yield through organic residue such as olive mill waste water, compost and lignite based humin. I am also familiar with the latest methods and techniques used to study soils, soil biogeochemical cycling, soil-plant-microbes interactions, soil biology, water scarcity management, deficit irrigation, precision agriculture, mycorrhizal symbiosis, and/or plant physiology (plant water status and/or plant defense responses). In addition, I have published several papers on my research findings related to soil use and crop management.
