Producing means telling stories, sharing emotions, and creating the conditions that allow those stories to exist.I have been producing television series for more than twenty-five years. I joined Gaumont in 2011 to create its French television division, which I have led since 2013.Over the years, I have had the privilege of producing series such as Lupin, Becoming Karl Lagerfeld, Pax Massilia, The Art of Crime and The Deal, working with French broadcasters and global platforms and, above all, with extraordinary authors, directors, actors and production teams.I remain a producer first.But producing today also means thinking about the conditions that will allow us to keep creating tomorrow.Our industry is undergoing profound change. The way stories are created, financed, distributed and consumed is being transformed by global platforms, new technologies, artificial intelligence and rapidly changing audiences.These transformations raise questions that go far beyond our industry: Who finances our stories? Who owns them? Who decides which stories reach audiences? And how can France and Europe continue to create ambitious works that travel around the world while preserving their cultural and economic sovereignty?As President of Gaumont Television France and President of USPA since 2026, I am deeply engaged in these debates: independent production, intellectual property, financing, artificial intelligence, European regulation and the competitiveness of our creative industries.I believe artistic ambition and industrial ambition belong together.Producing great stories and defending the conditions that make them possible are, ultimately, part of the same fight.Because a society that no longer tells its own stories will eventually find itself living in someone else’s.
