About

I spent 30 years telling companies how to grow. Now I write about tequila full-time. They're more connected than they sound.I'm the co-founder and Editor of The Tequila Report, the most complete digital magazine and newsletter for tequila lovers. I taste and score bottles, interview distillers and brand owners, run original consumer research, and build the lists and rankings tequila fans actually use to decide what to buy.I'm also co-founder and Co-Executive Director of Slingshot, an invitation-only community of emerging craft tequila brands working together to grow faster than they could alone. Call it a chamber of commerce for craft tequila. Most of what I learned advising big brands works even better for small ones, because small brands can actually act on it.Which brings me to my past.I'm a New York Times best-selling author of seven business books on customer experience, word of mouth, and business growth. I advised more than 700 brands, including 40 of the FORTUNE 500, and founded six multi-million-dollar companies, among them the digital strategy firm Convince & Convert. I was voted a Global Guru in both Marketing and Customer Experience, and I'm an inductee into the halls of fame for professional speaking and for word of mouth marketing.I gave 900+ keynotes over 20 years. I'm now on sabbatical from the stage. Twenty years of airports will do that to a person. What I don't miss is the travel. What I do miss is the moment a room of 2,000 people goes quiet because you finally said the thing they were all thinking. If I can help you make better tequila decisions or grow your tequila business, let me know.Tequila: TequilaReport.comBooks and speaking: JayBaer.com (or Amazon)
