About

As the Director General of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), I lead the organization's core functions and strategic objectives, implementing the mandate established in the Africa CDC Statute. With over 20 years of experience in public health, I have a strong background in medical practice, research, and policy development. I am passionate about improving health outcomes and promoting sustainable health systems across Africa. In addition to my role at Africa CDC, I serve as a member of the Technical Review Panel (TRP) at The Global Fund, where I evaluate funding requests for technical merit and strategic focus. I also have experience leading global health teams and implementing transformative agendas in the Democratic Republic of Congo. My skills include public policy, humanitarian work, and public health. I am committed to advancing the health and well-being of people in Africa and beyond.
