For more than two decades, I’ve worked as a journalist covering technology and the people and institutions shaping how we live and work. At Wired, Fortune, Businessweek, and now LinkedIn, I’ve followed the same questions: What is changing? Who has power? What does new technology make possible? And what does it ask of the rest of us?Today, I’m a senior editor-at-large at LinkedIn and host of the award-winning podcast Hello Monday with Jessi Hempel. I interview thinkers and leaders including Brené Brown, Melinda French Gates, Daniel Pink, Dr. Becky Kennedy, and many others, and I write and speak about AI, careers, leadership, and the changing nature of work.My work is grounded in curiosity rather than prediction. I’m interested in understanding technological change before the conventional wisdom settles in, and in examining its consequences for the choices people make about their careers and lives.
