Hello, I’m Karen 👋🏼 I headhunt experienced UX, UI and Product Designers for retail, ecommerce and digital product businesses across Australia, with a focus on Sydney and Melbourne. I’m a Design & Product Recruiter specialising in senior, hands-on designers working in customer-facing environments where design plays a meaningful role in how people discover, use, and engage with products and services. I partner with organisations where good design genuinely matters to the business. Places where design influences clarity, customer behaviour, growth, and decision-making, and where teams value people who can take work end to end and deliver real outcomes. The designers I represent are experienced individual contributors who stay close to the work. This includes senior product designers, senior digital designers, and hands-on art directors who balance craft, commercial awareness, and execution. They’re thoughtful, practical, and comfortable working within real constraints, particularly in fast-moving retail, ecommerce and product environments. With a background in design and years of experience recruiting across creative and tech, I bring a design-literate, grounded approach to hiring. I work closely with design and product leaders to understand what success looks like in their teams, and I look beyond job titles and surface-level portfolios to assess how designers think, collaborate, and operate in the real world. I’m also passionate about supporting women in design and tech by advocating for visibility, progression, and opportunities, particularly for those building long-term, hands-on careers.
