I launched my career in business development and enterprise account management, where I learned that marketing isn’t just about promotion—it’s about understanding people, markets, and business goals. After completing my MBA, I founded NextUp Branding, bootstrapping the agency to more than $1M in revenue in five years while growing a team of 3 employees and 15 specialized contractors. At the same time, I built Lakrisha Davis Media, growing an organic audience of more than 200,000 followers, partnering with brands including Meta, LinkedIn, Capital One, HoneyBook, and Acorns, and earning recognition as a LinkedIn Top Voice. Along the way, I’ve advised 50+ founders, executives, thought leaders, and creators on personal branding, thought leadership, storytelling, content strategy, and audience growth. That work led to embedded marketing leadership opportunities across healthcare, technology, and professional services, where I partnered with executive teams to develop go-to-market strategies, commercialization initiatives, demand generation programs, and customer acquisition strategies. Today, I lead strategic client accounts for a boutique media agency, helping brands connect with culture through media, creator partnerships, sponsorships, experiential marketing, and integrated campaigns. My focus is simple: align marketing strategy with business objectives and deliver measurable results. I believe the best marketing starts with customer insights—not assumptions.
