Currently serving as President of ASOBANCARIA, the Colombian Banking and Financial Institutions Association. Honored nationally with distinctions such as El Tiempo’s 40 under 40, Gerente Magazine’s Top 100 CEOs (2020, 2023), and Forbes’ Top 30 Economists in Colombia. Recipient of prestigious awards including the UN-Habitat Scroll of Honour, the Eisenhower Global Fellowship (Douglas Dillon Fellow of the year), and the Cruz de Boyacá — Colombia’s highest civilian distinction. Previous leadership roles include Vice President of ASOBANCARIA, Director of Economic Analysis at FEDESARROLLO, and executive positions at COMPARTEL and TELEFÓNICA. Academic background includes undergraduate degrees in Economics (summa cum laude, Universidad Nacional de Colombia) and Business Administration (University of London), as well as advanced graduate studies: MPA in Economic Policy Management (Columbia University), Master’s in Finance (University of Barcelona), Master’s in Banking (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid), Master’s in Contemporary Art (University of Barcelona), and a PhD in Economics (Tilburg University).
