Initially rooted in technology and product management, I've consistently operated at the intersection of tech and business, nurturing environments ripe for digital innovation. This multidimensional background uniquely equips me to solve complex compliance challenges, particularly in AML/CFT and regulatory compliance within the crypto, FinTech, and traditional finance sectors. While I've pursued professional development, such as the Wharton Executive Education program on the Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets, it's my hands-on leadership experience that truly distinguishes me. At the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), the world's first stand-alone virtual asset regulator, I was instrumental in shaping licensing and supervisory frameworks as part of the senior leadership team. My experience extends to leading compliance functions at industry frontrunners like Thomson Reuters KYC Managed Service, Revolut, Eqonex, and BitMEX. Engaging with regulatory bodies like the FATF, along with numerous domestic agencies across the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, has been crucial in fostering synergy between tech innovation and regulatory compliance. As an entrepreneur, I founded an award-winning software company and later established InnoFi Advisory, a consultancy servicing a diverse client base across financial services, FinTech, and crypto sectors. The firm emphasizes compliance excellence and regulatory alignment. As an international speaker, I contribute to policy dialogues at prestigious platforms like the OECD and Vatican.
