About
The cases I’m most often asked to handle are the ones where the stakes are high and the answers are not obvious.A trucking crash with disputed fault. A traumatic brain injury that is difficult to explain. A wrongful death case involving complicated medicine, multiple defendants, or a well-funded defense. Those are the kinds of cases that have shaped my practice.Much of my work comes from other lawyers who ask me to join them on significant cases. I take that responsibility seriously. When I come into a case as co-counsel, my goal is to add experience, resources, and another trial lawyer’s perspective. I believe the best co-counsel relationships feel like a partnership, not a handoff. For the families I represent, the lawsuit is only one part of what they are dealing with. A serious injury or death can change almost everything at once—health, work, finances, relationships, and the future they expected to have. My job is to understand the case deeply, explain things plainly, be candid about the challenges, and prepare it carefully enough that, if necessary, we can explain it to jurors in a courtroom. My practice focuses on catastrophic injury and wrongful death, particularly trucking and commercial motor vehicle crashes and traumatic brain injuries. I have obtained seven- and eight-figure jury verdicts in serious injury and wrongful death cases. I am based primarily in Ohio and Kentucky and handle cases across the country.I care about results, but I care just as much about how the work is done: preparation, judgment, honesty, and being dependable when the case becomes difficult. If you or someone you love is facing a catastrophic injury or loss, or you’re a lawyer weighing whether a serious case would benefit from co-counsel, I’m always willing to hear what happened and offer a candid perspective.
