As Chief of Education at the Inter-American Development Bank, I lead a large team of specialists and professionals dedicated to transforming education and strengthening learning ecosystems across Latin America and the Caribbean. My work centers on the belief that investing in human potential is key to societal transformation. I bring a deep understanding of international development and social policy, with a particular focus on reducing inequality. My expertise spans diverse areas, including institutional reform, female labor force participation, early childhood development, socio-emotional, foundational and digital skills, and social cohesion. Prior to joining the IDB Group, I was a postdoctoral research fellow at the European University Institute and the Belgian Scientific Research Foundation.
