I joined ANZ as Chief Executive Officer in May 2025. I am proud to lead a team of people who provide banking and financial products and services to more than 8.5 million retail and business customers. ANZ operate an extensive network of banking specialists and experts across 29 markets with representation in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Pacific, Europe, America and the Middle East. We are one of the top four banks in Australia, the largest in New Zealand and the Pacific, and among the top 50 banks in the world. Throughout my 30 year career I have worked across retail, commercial and wholesale banking. Prior to joining ANZ I was CEO of Wealth and Personal Banking at HSBC - responsible for 87,000 employees serving approximately 40 million customers across 35 markets. Personally, one of my biggest passions is diversity. Being part of a diverse family and having lived in so many different countries during my career, I have seen first-hand the importance of bringing together diverse thoughts and perspectives to create effective teams and really reflect the needs of our customers. Outside of work, I like to spend as much time as possible with my wife and two sons, as well open water swimming, and reading about history, economics and geopolitics.
