At the age of 20, I started my first job in Johannesburg, South Africa, venturing into the finance space with an accounting degree. I am in love with how things have unfolded on the journey 15+ years after. I am the founder of MoneyAfrica and Ladda, a financial literacy and investment platform (edtech and fintech). Financial literacy and retail investments are at the core of my strength as we create tools to democratize access and means of wealth-building for people in Africa in the long term. I have reached over 1 million people by guiding them on how to achieve financial independence. I was selected as a Young Global Leader of World Economic Forum. Twice, I was selected as a LinkedIn Top Voice, which buttresses my thought leadership on financial literacy. In 2025, I am a council member on the Global Future Council on Financial Education. So, how did I start? I started with a financial literacy community, then I built in tech and created an edtech financial literacy platform for adults. Because most questions people asked us centred on how to implement the knowledge they had gained subsequent to learning, we built Ladda, our savings and investment platform, where people can save and invest. Based on demand and research that the mindset about money is formed at the age of 7, we built MoneyAfrica Kids, the Duolingo for financial literacy for children between the ages of 6-17. We have a big goal of walking 100 million Africans towards financial independence. We are excited to see this happen in the future.
