About

In 2008, my dad got my mom her first cell phone. I remember holding it and thinking it was magic. My dad would be somewhere far away. I would dial his number. And somehow the call would connect to him. It felt unbelievable. We didn't spend hours talking on it. But I remember being fascinated by it. How could something so small connect two people who were so far apart? I think that was the first moment I felt drawn to the cell phone industry. 📡 Today, I'm a Staff Engineer in Modem/Cellular Systems at MediaTek in San Diego, working on 5G NR RedCap validation, carrier IOT/IODT testing, and the power-saving tech (eDRX, PEI, WUS, DRX) that quietly keeps your phone's battery alive. 🎓 I hold a Master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UT Dallas, and over a decade building modems across Apple, Qualcomm, Intel, Ericsson, and now MediaTek. 🚁 One of my earliest RF projects: designing the transceiver for a drone built to detect wildfires and drop fire-extinguishing payloads—modeling link budget, cascaded gain, P1dB, IP3, and noise figure in AWR's Virtual System Simulator. 🎙️ I'm also a tech content creator with 280K+ on Instagram, 144K+ followers on LinkedIn and 28K+ on YouTube, where I break down wireless engineering, AI/semiconductors, and career navigation for professionals in the USA. My "bad resume vs. good resume" post crossed 2.8M impressions. Now I'm focused on both—building the tech that connects us, and building the tech community that thrives. 👉🏻 Follow along for wireless engineering made simple, and daily tech career insights in the USA. 💬 For speaking and brand partnership inquiries, email me at and cc . 📱My social platforms:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_roshnichellani/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@RoshniChellaniLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/roshnichellani/
