I never studied design. I'm an engineer from IIT Madras who took a long detour into product design and never came back. Today I head design at Swiggy across Food, Dineout, Toing and Crew. I've delivered 150+ talks and workshops including 3 TEDx, on design, startups and how technology is reshaping the way we build. No jargon, no theatre. Just clear thinking, everyday analogies and stories that make complex ideas feel obvious in hindsight. I also write and make videos about design across Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn, which has grown into a business of its own. My first book, Inside a Unicorn, comes out with Penguin at the end of October. It's about what building inside an Indian startup actually feels like from the inside. Lately I'm most interested in the intersection of design and AI, and what that means for craft, decision making and the next generation of product teams.
