I’ve built my career running large, complex operations across commodities, continents, and cultures - where scale matters and decisions have consequences. As CEO of Metals and Operations at Fortescue, I’m accountable for global operations, electrification, and decarbonisation. It’s work that demands engineering depth, operational excellence, and the ability to balance long-term ambition with short-term performance. It isn't easy - and that’s the point. I’m driven by a strong belief in our vision and the people building it. That belief sets the bar high and keeps teams aligned when the pressure's on. Before Fortescue, I held senior leadership roles at Vale Base Metals, South 32 and BHP, leading large-scale operations across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia - from mines and smelters to refineries, power stations, and ports. Those experiences shaped how I think about safety, resilience, and stewardship. For me, leadership isn’t about titles or ambition. It’s about consistency and delivery. Making hard calls early. Backing your people. Staying focused on outcomes when trade-offs are real and the margin for error is thin. Experience has taught me that the best results come from being prepared to be bold, fail fast, learn hard - and go again.
