Joost Farwerck is CEO of Royal KPN and Chairman of the Board of Management. He is a member of the Board of Management since 2013. Previous he has held senior executive positions in various KPN divisions. As COO he took care of KPN’s operating activities and the Simplification and Digitization program. As Managing Director Netherlands he has been responsible for KPN’s Dutch activities from . Before 2012 he was (ao) responsible for Consumer Residential business, Wholesale, Operations, he has been Manager Sales and Corporate Secretary to the Board and Supervisory Board. He is also member of the NL Cyber Security Counsel, Chairman of Supervisory Board (Raad van Toezicht) of Nieuwe Kerk Amsterdam & H'ART Museum Amsterdam and member of the Supervisory Board (Raad van Toezicht) of The National Theater. Previously he was Chairman of the Board of iBasis (a USA based Wholesale Carrier), member of the board of VNO NCW (The Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers) and member of the Board of ICT Nederland. Joost is married and father of three children. In his leisure time he enjoys cycling, tennis, nature, music and reading Dutch and English literature.
